East Earl Township is a Township of the Second Class that was incorporated in 1851. It is governed by a three-member Board of Supervisors elected for staggered six-year terms. The Supervisors have the power to establish policies and regulations in order to maintain the health, safety and welfare of the residents. The Board of Supervisors appoints members to the various advisory and authority boards.
The East Earl Township Municipal Office is located on Route 322 – Division Highway. It is .7 of a mile east of the PA Route 23 and US Route 322 intersection in Blue Ball, PA.
Township office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

ANY CHANGES IN OFFICE HOURS WILL BE POSTED AT THE MUNICIPAL OFFICE BUILDING.
East Earl Township has both a Zoning Ordinance and Building Code. A permit is required before beginning construction of new dwellings and for additions, alterations, porches, decks, swimming pools, sheds, signs, fences and agricultural buildings.
A permit is not needed for maintenance and/or repairs. More examples.

Real Estate taxes are based on the current assessed value of your property multiplied times the current millage rage. The Township's millage rate for 2022 is 1.7. This rate is set by the Board of Supervisors and adopted by Resolution in December of each year. These tax dollars help to support the Township, including 24-hour police services, three fire companies, and the general operating expenses of the Township.
